This course teaches the latest evidence on how the chiropractic adjustment works form a ligamentous/neurological persepctive. COURSE OBJECTIVES
Module 1: Chiropractic Evidence in Ligamentous Pathological State - The objective of this course is to help the graduate student understand what is required to be considered an expert in Chiropractic Evidence in Ligamentous Pathological State at the peer level in the both medical specialist and legal communities and realize the academic tools and credentials required to be accepted at that level. In addition, to learn what is required to focus future studies on in acquiring the requisite knowledge base to be the expert.
Module 2: MRI Anatomy, Neurology and Protocols - TThe objective of this course is to help the graduate student understand the basics of MRI spine pathology and the abberant neurologi9cal sequella from an etiology perspective. The MRI component is also designed to help the graduate student understand the basics of MRI spine interpretation inclusive of the latest literature standards in nomenclature.
Module 3 & 5: Spine Brain Neurological Role in Pathology - The objective of this course is to help the graduate student understand the central nervous system conection to the brain and the role of the ligaments inclusinve of nociceptors, mechainoreceptros and proprioreceptors.
Module 4: Chiropractic Evidence in a Medical Collaborative Environment - The objective of this course is to help the graduate student understand administering and managing patients in a hospital environment inclusive of documenting care plans in conjunction with hospital attending’s and ancillary hospital staff.
Module 6 & 8 : Chiropractic Evidence in a Medical-Legal Environment - The objective of this course is to help the graduate student understand how to initially create legally defensible documentation that meets current academic and licensure standards. In addition the graduate student will learn how to justify their diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plans when challenged based upon clinical findings.
